Isaiah 26:19-21 – Supporting Pre Trib Rapture Verses

20 Jul

Isaiah 26:19-21 – 19 But your dead will live; their bodies will rise.  You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy.  Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.  20 Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by.  21 See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins.  The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer.

Here is a very interesting verse in the Old Testament from the prophet Isaiah.

Is it on the rapture?  Let’s read it more carefully and break it down.

In verse nineteen it certainly sounds like a rapture verse.  Your dead will live and their bodies will rise.  You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy.  The earth will give birth to their dead.

That reminds me of another verse we have went over a couple of times from Paul.

1 Corinthians 15:52-54 – 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

There seems to be a pretty good parallel there.  Also in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 it talks about the dead rising first, concerning the rapture.

To me verse nineteen fits with others.  Let’s move onto verse twenty.

In Isaiah 26:20 it talks about enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you.  This could mean the Jewish people he is talking to could be hiding, possibly sealed, when the Lord displays His wrath.  However, a verse that also comes to mind is this one.

John 14:2-3 –  2In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Does this indicate that we will go to be in our rooms, or mansions, as the KJV states?  Then after the wrath, we come down with God at the end of the Tribulation?  At the rapture you receive your resurrected body, so one could enjoy his new heavenly dwelling with a new body.

One other important thing I want to hit on concerning verses 19 and 20 before moving on.  In nineteen we start with the rising of the dead.  Why would God raise the dead for a new life in which they are shouting for joy and then have to shield or protect them during His wrath?  Wouldn’t it be easier to wait afterwards if they were not going to a place of safety?  So if the dead have risen and they shouting for joy, but this is not the rapture, they better hurry and find a door to go behind before God spills down His wrath.  They also better find a door to get behind because the Antichrist is trying to kill them too.  But, wait, weren’t they already dead?  How can they be killed again?  After they have been resurrected?  We know that can’t happen and it wouldn’t make sense that way.

What makes verses 19-21 appear to be an event that takes place during the end times?  Well, one is dead people rising, but they did that when Jesus resurrected also.  Two the Bible speaks about a time when God will pour out His wrath on all on mankind that lives on Earth.  Verse twenty-one hits on that very thing.

Isaiah 26:21 – 21 See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins.  The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer.

The flood had already passed and the next judgment in which God pours down His wrath on man concerning the whole earth is in the last days.

I believe Isaiah 26:19-21 fits right in line with the Pre-Tribulation rapture theory.

There is a crown for those who love His appearing.  Why?  Because if you love the idea of Jesus coming back right now, you are probably trying to live for Him and are excited to see Him.  Worth Rewarding?  From what I read about my King and Savior, I would say yes.

If you’re not excited about the Lord returning at any second and you’re not looking for Him at all, you’re probably not living for Him.  Start today making it your goal to live for Him every day so you can be rewarded and excited about standing in front of Him.

Use The Road Map – The Historical One Behind You

19 Jul

So many people ignore the gift of history in their own lives.  Your life is a road map that has already been documented.

How many times do you hear the past is the past, you can’t change it so forget about it.

Nooooooooooooooooooo.

We need to accept Jesus and have him forgive us of our past.  He also will be forgiving us of our present and future since we are sinners.  Since Jesus is forgiving us of our past, we too need to forgive ourselves of our past and forgive those who have wronged us.

Never forget your past.  It is a wealth of information, experience, which you can use to improve your life in the future.  It can be helpful to someone else who is listening that maybe trying to make the same mistakes.

You remember the famous saying that the only thing we have learned about history is that man refuses to learn anything from history.

For multiple reasons, it happens to be the case.

Look back on your life.  Take a good hard look at all the significant things that have happened.  Now, why did it happen?  Don’t be afraid to compare a couple of like kind things and evaluate them together.

Never look at things lightly.  There is meaning to almost every major event that sticks out in your mind.

Was God there?

He was there trust me.  If you are one of his saved children, how did it work out for you?  Were you doing something outside of His wants for your life?  Was there correction?  Was it loving?

Proverbs 3:12 – 12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

What about those times when you’ve been stubborn, brought to your knees and then when you finally let go and gave the reigns to God, what happened?  He took care of you didn’t He!  No question mark at the end of the sentence on that one.  If you love the Lord and turn it over to Him it will be handled.

So why do we continue to slip back into old habits of going against God’s will and trying to do it ourselves when we know if we just turn it over to Him it will be just fine?

Because we are sinful fallen creatures.

I can tell you in my own personal life I have managed to cut to the chase on this.  Most of the time I turn the situation over to Him immediately and right away the problem is solved.   Believe me the boring roller coaster of few ups and downs is a marvelous ride!

So learn from your past.  Not just in the pitfalls but especially in your victories in the Lord.  Use those to grow in your walk in other areas with the Lord.

Back From Men’s Retreat

18 Jul

Just got back from my Men’s Retreat at Tall Timber Ranch.  Tall Timber is where I chose to have the Lord as my Savior in 1979.

It has changed quite a bit over the years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is how beautiful and peaceful it is.

While sitting at the campfire you just gaze up at his wonderful creation.

What an Awesome and Majestic God we serve!

It was great to see everyone check the world at the door and was allowed to just allow God and Jesus to touch their hearts through the Holy Spirit.

We need to make that reality, instead of the everyday world reality.  Jesus is our life preserver.  Wear him every day and the rough seas will never appear they are going to swallow you up.

I got a chance to speak to the guys and welcome to the site gentlemen.

The final word for this post is what I shared with them.  We need to get back to our first love.  When we make the Lord our first love, He takes care of the rest.  Here’s the good news, that’s the way He wants it to be.

For the guys just beginning on the reminders, look over to the categories field to the right.  If you click on one of those categories it will bring up all the posts from that subject starting with the most recent.  Then you can work your way down.  You can do the same on the months portion to go back and look at previous posts as only the last 10 will show up without doing that.

Daniel Chapter 2 –One World Government – End Time Prophecy – Part 2

16 Jul

Last week we went through a simple rundown of Daniel after he and other Israelites were taken to Babylon after the capture of Judah.

This week we start in on the dream that King Nebuchadnezzar had.  He summons all of the wise men of Babylon and explained that he had a dream and wanted it interpreted.  If none of the wise men could do it, he would have them all killed.  Daniel sought God and the Lord gave him the dream and the interpretation.

Daniel 2:31-35 – 31 “You looked, O king, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. 32 The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. 34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

An amazing dream and what’s even more amazing is that God gave the interpretation to Daniel to share with Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel 2:36-37 – 36 “This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. 37 You, O king, are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; 38 in your hands he has placed mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds of the air. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.

Daniel referred to Nebuchadnezzar as the king of kings.  The reason he was saying that is because at that time King Nebuchadnezzar had pretty much controlled the world at the time as a kingdom.  He was the head of gold at the top of the statue.

Daniel 2:39 –  39 “After you, another kingdom will rise, inferior to yours.  …….

Inferior meaning not as rich.  The chest and arms were made of silver.  Interestingly enough there are two arms.  The Medes and the Persians working together indeed conquered Babylon later on in 539 BC.  Daniel was still alive at this time and that story is written in Chapter 5.

Going on and finishing the rest of verse 39 we see another kingdom.

Daniel 2:39 – ….. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth.

In 330 BC, Greece conquered the Medes and the Persians and became the next kingdom on the earth.  They were the belly and thighs of bronze.   Also still going down in wealth as bronze is not as rich as silver and gold.

Next week we will continue on with Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and work our way into the fourth kingdom.  Why is this dream so important?  As you can see we are talking about world governments.

Sincere……And Sincerely Wrong Part 2

15 Jul

Part 2 and as always it is better to go down and read part one just below this post first.

We left off with the question of did Satan know the consequents’ that he was causing the human race when he lied to Eve?

Of course He did.

John 8:44 – You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Jesus was talking to a group of Pharisees in the last scripture.

Is Satan done yet?  No.  He’s alive and has more people than ever listening to his voice.  They’re eating their own appealing piece of fruit and thinking to themselves, I surely won’t die.

There is a problem though isn’t there.  Satan is a murderer and a liar and has been from the beginning.  Who’s warning you?  JESUS!

All roads and ideas are not right.  The person who rolls over and over on the ground for twenty miles a day, because he is sincere in thinking that it will get him to heaven is sincerely wrong.

The person who believes blowing themselves up and killing lots of other people around them are sincere.  They must be sincere to go to that extent, but they are sincerely wrong.

Just because you are sincere in YOUR beliefs doesn’t do anything for you when you’re standing in front of God.  Why?

Because God provided the Way.  His sincerity is the only one that matters.

What does the little child do when he grows up and still doesn’t want to put the right peg in the right hole?  He either gives up, makes excuses that the shapes don’t have to go in the holes, or cuts a big hole in the middle of the toy and shoves all the shapes into it.

All of us that will be held accountable have the capacity to put the right shape in the right hole.  The right shape is Jesus Christ shedding His (God’s) blood for your sin which is the hole.

If you haven’t chosen Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please do so now.  You get one lifetime to do it, but that lifetime is unpredictable.

Trust me, it is a win now and win later, even if you don’t see it right now.

Don’t be sincerely wrong.

Sincere……And Sincerely Wrong Part 1

14 Jul

We are so bombarded as Americans to respect and except everything around us that we forget that there is a right and wrong.  There are absolutes and there are consequents’ for poor decisions.

A child walks into a classroom.  He picks up one of those toys that have the shapes that are designed to only fit into one hole.  The child begins trying to put the wrong shapes into the wrong hole.  The teacher comes up to the child and says that this circle shape won’t go into square hole.  The teacher even shows the child and helps them stick it in the right hole.  The next time the child is trying to do it again and the teacher is busy with other students.  The child sincerely believes that the peg should fit in the hole they are trying to get it in.

Is the child sincere?  You bet the child is sincere.  It saw the shape go in before so the child knows it fits.  The child just happens to be sincerely wrong.

A man takes a hallucinating drug.  He gets a thought in his head that he can fly.  He goes up to a 10 story building and looks down.  He thinks to himself I know I can fly, I just know it.  He then dives out and he doesn’t fly.  Was he sincere in his thoughts?  Never mind that he was on drugs, they actually kept him more focused to his task and kept him more positive and sincere in this case.  He was sincere in thinking he could fly.  He was sincerely wrong.

Why is there considered no right and no wrong anymore?  Why is there confusion and how come people struggling with simple absolutes?  I have theory and it goes like this.

Genesis 3:1-5 –   1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ “

4 “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

So we have an absolute from the Creator of each and every one of us and of the whole universe.  This absolute in verse 3 was, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ “

Not just eat it, but touch it.  God made it clear.

Oh, but that caring freedom monger, a pioneer leading the way, Satan in the form of a serpent, had a better idea than God.

Did Satan know the consequents’ that he was causing human race when he lied to Eve?

Tune in tomorrow.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 – Not Appointed To Suffer Wrath – Pre Trib – Rapture

13 Jul

We are continuing on with the support scriptures of a pre-tribulation rapture.  This week is another scripture that indicates we are to be spared from God’s wrath.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 – 9For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We talked last week that the righteous will not be swept away with the wicked.  What makes you righteous?   By accepting Jesus Christ and his blood sacrifice on the cross.

Who is wicked?  We are all wicked, some more than others, but none-the-less all.  It’s not about what we can do to get back to God, but what God did through His Son.

So we see once again that those in Jesus Christ are not appointed to suffer wrath.

Some mid-tribbers will state that the last three and half years is when God pours out His wrath.  The first three and half years are just hardships.  What does the book of Revelation say?

Revelation 6:16 – 16They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

So the sixth seal indicates that it is a part of the wrath of the Lamb!  Who is the Lamb that was slain?  Jesus.  Who do we read Jesus is in Revelation?

Revelation 1:7-8 –  7Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.  8“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:17-18 – 17When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

So the wrath of the Lamb is the wrath of God.  When is it mentioned?  Just the sixth seal into the Tribulation which is in chapter 6.  The tribulation doesn’t start until the 6th chapter.  It also states that only the Lion from the Tribe of Judah and the Lamb that was slain was worthy to open up the scroll and begin the seal judgments.  The second, third, and fourth seals, are war, famine, and pestilence.  Would these be considered wraths from God?  Jesus is the only One who could open the seals and initiate them, so my guess is yes.

How soon are the seal judgments released into the Tribulation?  Well we know that the Seal Judgments are the first of three sets of seven judgments each that are unleashed.  The second group of seven judgments is called the Trumpet Judgments.  The third set is the Bowl Judgments.

In Chapter 11 we have the Seventh Trumpet Judgment happening.  In Chapter 12 we have Satan being cast down after losing a battle in Heaven.  Why is this significant?  Because we know that Satan incarnates the Antichrist’s body after he is killed.  That is at the 3 and half year point.  So if the seventh trumpet judgment happens before that, it leaves only the Bowl Judgments left.

My whole point is that the 6th Seal appears to happen within a year or two into the Tribulation.  The other point is I believe all the Seal Judgments are part of the wrath of God.

To recap both the scripture that started this post and the one in the previous posts:

1 Thessalonians 5:9 – 9For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 1:10 – 10and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

According to the scriptures from Paul we will not be here for the wrath that is to come, but are rescued by Jesus Christ.

Your Life Is Not Your Own

12 Jul

Galatians 2:20 – 20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

What an awesome scripture.  What does it mean?

It means that when you accepted Christ as your Savior, you died to your old earthly life.  Is this what Jesus wanted?

Matthew 10:38 – 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

I’d say so.

You see Jesus knows that we need God and Himself.  Why, because we are lost sheep and if we aren’t serving Him and the Father, we not doing what’s right.

Now I want to go a different direction with this scripture.

I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  With that part of the scripture let’s look to another to go with it.

1Corinthians 6:19:20 – 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

So we are to pick up our cross and follow Him.  We no longer live, but Christ lives in us.  We are not our own, we have been bought with a price.  That price would be the blood of Jesus.

You matter to God.  God is what matters.  Confusing?

Here’s where I’m getting at.  Your life on earth matters to God, but you have been bought with a price.  Your real life is in Heaven.  Only God knows the future of all.  He can see into the future.  He knew you before you were even born.

Here is what I believe and what I feel that scripture supports.  If your death ends up saving or brings more to the Kingdom of God than if you remain alive, you’re going to be in Heaven with the Lord.  Who weighs that out and makes that decision.  God does.  Do I believe He takes all into consideration?  Yes, like only God can.   Your life is not your own, you have been bought with a price.  Your life now belongs to God.  That’s a good thing.  You see you’re not going to die as a saved child of God, unless He says it’s time for you to leave this earth.  Your ministry and race isn’t over until He says it’s over.

However, I believe God can take you home for your own good.  I believe He will can you home for the good of others.  I believe He can take you home and will, if it’s what’s best for the Kingdom.  Why, because God and the Kingdom is what matters.

On the flip side, I believe He can use you as a miracle.  You can end up in a place like Joseph and think to yourself, wow, what did I do to end up here?  God assures us though, that he will never leave us or forsake us or give us more than we can handle.

Your life is not your own, you have been bought with a price.  Praise God that you have been and ask Him, “What can I do for you next Father?”

Ecclesiastes 5:10 -Reflection

10 Jul

Ecclesiastes 5:10 –

10 Whoever loves money never has money enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income.
       This too is meaningless.

Daniel Chapter 2 –One World Government – End Time Prophecy – Part 1

09 Jul

Last week we went over Revelation chapter 13 concerning the one world government.  Daniel is a great book and actually reveals the different world empires to come.

Daniel was taken captive when Judah, the southern kingdom of Israel finally fell to Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC.  Some of the nobility of the Royal Israelites were taken and trained for three years to be of service to the King (Nebuchadnezzar).  Some of the others that were trained were Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  They were the ones thrown into the fire for not worshipping an idol and God saved them.

In Daniel Chapter 2 Nebuchadnezzar has a dream.  He summons all the wise men and astrologers.  He tells them he had a dream and it troubled him.  Nebuchadnezzar told them that not only did he want them to interpret the dream, but they had to tell him what it was about.  If they couldn’t then he was going to kill them.

For a few verses more the astrologers pleaded with the King and stated what he asks is too hard.

Daniel 2:12 – 12 This made the king so angry and furious that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon.

Daniel got wind of this and he along with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego prayed to God for the dream and the interpretation.

Did God give them the interpretation?  Absolutely!  Did He give it to them before the earnestly prayed and sought God?  No.  Is there a lesson to be learned here?   Yes.  Pray and seek God always.  Now back to the story.

Daniel 2:19-23 – 19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven 20 and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.  21 He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them.  He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.  22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.  23 I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers:  You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.”

Daniel is then taken before King Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel 2:26-28 –  26 The king asked Daniel (also called Belteshazzar), “Are you able to tell me what I saw in my dream and interpret it?”

27 Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, 28 but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you lay on your bed are these:

Am I going to stop here?  Of course I am.  We’re at about at that 60 to 90 second mark.  I do want to reiterate what Daniel just said.  Only God knows the future and He didn’t just give it to Nebuchadnezzar.  He has revealed it and shared it with each and every one of us.  We’re living in the days when more of it than ever is coming to pass.  Don’t get caught up into the world and miss it.  Next Friday we continue on with this End Time Prophecy Post.
