1 Timothy 4:16 – 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Why is doctrine so important?
Because it’s the difference between truth and something totally made up and not of God. If someone believes in red and the other green, the first argument is, we both believe in colors, so we believe in the same thing.
Wrong. The colors are opposites.
If someone says they believe in a God that wants them to drink, do drugs, be sexually immoral, and steal, then they don’t believe in the same God and Lord as I do. They also don’t believe in the one of the Bible.
However, the world wants you to respect them all.
Danger. The Bible warns throughout that the Truth is the truth and to believe in what you want is a grave mistake.
