If Someone Is Looking For Christ And Not In The Air……Then

13 Apr

Many people in the church believe they have to prepare the earth before Jesus comes back.  Is that biblical?  Isn’t that saying that they are bringing the millennium for Christ, instead of Christ taking control and doing so?

Here’s what I read:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 –  16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

I have a date with the Lord in the air.

As a pre-trib rapture Christian, I believe the Lord comes for His bride and it’s off to the honeymoon.  So if there is a group trying to lay the foundation for the Lord so he can lead them on this utopian earth they are trying to make, who are they going to see?  The antichrist.

Don’t get me wrong, we are to be witnesses for our Lord.  We are to be spreading the Good News.  However, our citizenship is in Heaven and not being a dweller on this earth.

Our Savior is coming to call us in the air.  It’s a blessed hope.  The antichrist is coming to try and run his kingdom on the earth through the most troubling and horrific time.  Christ comes back at the end of that time with His bride, which is at Armageddon.  Then rules and reigns in the millennium and allows His own to help rule with Him.

Don’t love this earth, love Heaven.  Don’t be looking for antichrist, but Jesus Christ.

No Greater Love

31 Mar

John 15:13 – 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

He died for each and every one of us, which are willing to accept it and make Him Lord.  Today reflect on how much love the Lord has shown to each one of us.  For a perfect loving God to die for a bunch of out of control haywire humans, is nothing to be taken for granted.

The God who made the whole universe died in our place, so we may live.  Praise your glorious name Lord!

God’s Covenant Concerning Israel

25 Mar

Deuteronomy 4:23-31 – 23 Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the Lord your God has forbidden. 24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

25 After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time—if you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in the eyes of the Lord your God and arousing his anger, 26 I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed. 27 The Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the Lord will drive you. 28 There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell. 29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.

I was reading in my one year Bible this morning and came across this.  I’ve written quite a few times about the promises and covenant with Israel that God has.  Why?  Because replacement theology is very common in the world today amongst many denominations and people.  It helped lead to the holocaust and is a doctrine from Satan.

God has a promise, He will keep His promise.   Those who don’t read or follow the Word of God are many.  We need to read the Word so we are not led astray but what makes worldly sense to us.  We are fallen creatures.  We are very susceptible to hearing fallen doctrine and being fooled, if we don’t know the Word and the Truth.

And If You Defile The Land It Will Vomit You Out Like The Nations Before You

06 Mar

Leviticus 18:24-28- 24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.

The advice to Israel rang true as God’s Word is.  America has been kicking God out of all its infrastructure and can’t seem to defile itself fast enough now.

Are You Excited To See God?

02 Mar

Psalm 42:2 – 1 As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

Reading these verses remind me that I hope the rapture is in the next second.  Are you excited to be with the One who loves you and only wants heaven and happiness for you?  Or are you fixated on this world and all of your own accomplishments more.

I underlined “more”, because the Lord wants us to keep Him the center and work hard while we’re here, but I can promise you if you’re more excited about this place than His coming..?????

Put yourself in His shoes.  You’re coming back for your bride and your bride would rather you not show up right now.  You’re bride doesn’t even want to think about you showing up right now.

Just thinking about that and hearing yourself read it is kind of scary, isn’t it?  It kind of reminds of this parable.

Luke 14:15-24 –  15 When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.”

16 Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’

18 “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’

19 “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’

20 “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’

21 “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’

22 “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’

23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”

Don’t love the world, Love Your Lord!  His appearing is so close.  Is your heart ready?

Love Is……. Not Self-Seeking

14 Feb

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 – 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Ephesians 5:22-33 – 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Where do we get into trouble?  Caring about ourselves first.

God wants us to care about each other.  The devil gets a foothold by getting everyone to think of themselves first.

Show Me Your Ways Oh Lord

01 Feb

Psalm 25:4-5 – 4 Show me your ways, O Lord,
teach me your paths;
5 guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.

We really need to want this in our hearts.

If the Lord is the most important thing in our lives, we have to concentrate on Him and make Him our habit.  It’s a good habit.

Thought For The Day

18 Jan

If you forget how selfish and evil Man is, remember this.  It would literally take a fraction of the manpower and finances to care for the world in both food and medicine than what’s being spent on weapondry and mass military armaments.

Obviously this is not new news.  Just something to not forget about when we remember how evil, selfish, and calloused man is towards the love of others as a whole.  This is what our Lord commanded us to do.  Love the Lord and love your neighbor.   The Lord states that when He shows up at His second appearing, no flesh would have been saved.

Matthew 24:22-22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

Just more of the prophecies coming to life.  A few of literally hundreds both big and small.

Quote – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

30 Nov

God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises…leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Thank the Lord that we don’t get everything we want.  Those who get even quite a bit of the worldly things they were hoping for end up in a mess.

God will always provide our needs.  Those needs point to His Kingdom and His love for us.

Israel’s Quest For Peace – Are They Looking To The Right Place?

26 Nov

Israel lives to just have peace.  This isn’t just the religious Jews but the non religious as well.  The Jews believe that Messiah will come and the most important thing is He will bring peace.  That is why they are ripe for antichrist.

The Messiah came and Him they did not accept.

John 5:43 – 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

Right now there has been a cease fire between Israel and Gaza.  The only reason there was a cease fire is because the terrorists were running low on weapons and rockets and Israel was getting ready to go in with the ground forces to clean up.

Israel is ripe for antichrist.  It just wants someone to enforce peace.  Is that all the Christ was supposed to do?

No.

The Christ was to come and take away the sins of the world.

John 1 :29 – 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

They have never looked for that Messiah and still aren’t.

In a couple of days we’ll keep on that topic.
