Always Share The Gospel When You Get A Chance

07 Apr

You don’t have to beat someone over the head with God’s Word or His message.  However, we need to constantly and continually plant those seeds because only the Lord knows the future.

You see there is a time coming soon when many are going to disappear in the rapture in a twinkling of an eye.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 – 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

I truly believe that more souls will come to Jesus, within 24 hours after the rapture than any other one day period in history.

Why?

I believe it will be two reasons.  One, people didn’t really accept the Lord that knew of Him.  Two, there are those who were told about the rapture and didn’t believe a word of it and their attention has been received now.  While the world is going to be panicked and many experts will be trying to give their best spiel on what happened, many will know that they missed the rapture.  They’ll remember what many Christians had warned them about and it did happen just like they said it would.

So it is so important that you share.  Share.  SHARE God’s word and message of salvation!  Because even if they don’t accept Him today, doesn’t mean they won’t at that time.  Plant those seeds so they have the best chance at a good eternity.

More Than Conquerors – Part 7

06 Apr

Romans 8:31-39 – 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

   “For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As human and fallen humans at that, we get confused about what is victory.  We concentrate on this world and what happens here.  We are conquerors in the overall picture that matters.

Romans 8:37-37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

This world is short and temporary.  When we got saved, we got saved from the death that each and every person was going to have endure had not God shed His blood for us.  A stated in earlier posts, we are conquerors because He is the conqueror.  It says we are conquerors through HIM, our Lord.  He does love us.  God is love and to come back and die for us, He really is reaching out to His creation that loves Him.

Pray to the Lord always for His strength and protection, but never lose confidence if you don’t always understand why things are they way they are at certain times.  Trust in the Lord, He loves those who love Him.  If you accepted Christ as Savior, you are an heir and more than a conqueror.

Love Him.  Truly love your Lord.

Better Is One Day In your House

05 Apr

Psalm 84:10 – 10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

I was walking at work when the thought of how exciting it will be for us to be with the Lord.  The thing that was going through my mind is the best day we have ever had here won’t be as good as the worst day on a scale in heaven.  That’s pretty amazing when you think about it.

Then I get home that evening and I sit down at my computer and the Holy Spirit put Psalm 84:10 in my mind.  Not just Psalm 84, but 84:10.  It is really neat when this kind of stuff happens.  It’s one of those assurances that the Lord wants me to blog on the topic.

We sing a song in church a lot which the chorus is on this verse.  Better is one day in your courts, better is one day in your house, better is one day in your courts than thousands elsewhere.

How great will it be?  Well God created the earth and every living thing on it.  The earth is cursed after the fall and man has entered into sin.  Still we have wondrous beauty and can still have great time in fellowship together and in God.  It is beyond imagination of how a perfect world that God created along with his creation redeemed can be.

One thing we can rest assured and that is it will be great.  Don’t listen to Satan’s voice.  He’s a liar when he tries to convince you and others that Heaven sounds boring.  Don’t buy into the lie of you better get while you can while its guarenteed.

John 8:44 – 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

The devil wants you to live for yourself.  He doesn’t wanting you trying to help others find Jesus and share in His happiness later.  We need to live by that faith and not listen to any doubt the wrong voice is saying.

Please Pray For This Ministry

04 Apr

I was reading in Colossians 4:3-4 – 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.  4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

It dawned on me that if arguably the greatest missionary of all time is asking for those around him to pray for him and to open a door for his message, then I definitely need to do so.

We need to pray for each other all the time.  Our missionaries, our pastors, and the teachers who are teaching the true word of the Lord need our prayers.

There is so much power in prayer and I’m not talking about a manipulative power like some are trying to peddle.  No I’m talking about the kind that is God’s will.  Praying for his message to get out and reach others so they may be saved from an eternity without God.

Please take a moment to pray that this ministry strengthens lives or may plant seeds to have some come to know the Lord.

Thank you so much and may God bless each reader of this also.

To Win As Many As Possible

02 Apr

1 Corinthians 9:19 – 19 Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

Paul definitely knew the value of man being saved versus man perishing.  His love for God and Jesus spilled over into love for others.

I have to be honest I don’t have enough of that love, but admire those who do and want more of that in my life.  I’m one of those people who get pretty disgusted by the injustice, foolishness, and disregard of others.  Pray for me in that area.  I don’t want to be more tolerant by any means, just more caring and loving towards those who are lost and struggling.  I need to pray more for them.

We really should all be thinking that someone who is dying without Christ is walking into a burning house.  That would put our urgency in perspective.  I know it’s not easy and I struggle as much as most, especially in today’s world.  There is always a reason in most people’s lives of why they don’t have Jesus, or they do, but it doesn’t match the Jesus of the Bible.  We just need to do our best and ask the Lord for the strength through Him.

Quote – Abraham Lincoln

01 Apr

Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.
Abraham Lincoln

Interesting that even a hundred and fifty years ago one our greatest presidents was saying this about our country.  We’re definitely even beyond that now.  The true biblical form of Christianity is so far gone in this country that it is under fire every day.

It’s not the first time it has happened.  God’s hand blesses a nation and the people slowly turn away.  They become spoiled in their success thinking nothing bad can happen to them.

Any nation that leaves God behind and becomes proud, gets left behind.

We’re coming up to the Lord’s return for the rapture.  Be ready!  Focus on the Lord and allow Him to work through your life.

Galatians 2:20 – 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
