Israel Becomes A Nation -End Times Bible Prophecy

23 Apr

One of the most important end time prophecies is Israel becoming a nation again.

There are a lot of other end time prophecies to stem from that, but I will be doing only one end time prophecy at a time.  But since this is my first end time prophecy I’m writing about, I will mention that there must be another Jewish temple in Jerusalem, sacrifices will begin again at the temple, the antichrist will desecrate the temple and stop the sacrifices, etc.

All these things indicate that Israel has to be in their land at the time.  To some that might not be a big deal on the surface.  So Israel has to become a nation, whatever.  But when you breakdown the history of the Jews, this is a miracle in itself.  They have been persecuted for over 2500 years.  They haven’t been a sovereign nation since 586 BC when they were conquered by Babylon.  They just went through a massacre from Hitler before settling again into their homeland back on May 14, 1948.

A study of that, will show you that they were promised a lot from the British Government and received very little of the land by the time they declared their independence.  Once they did, the surrounding nations came to attack them right away and God helped them with their victory.  In 1967 in the six days war they had a miraculous victory while being outnumbered.  In 1973 the Yom Kippur happened and once again they were attacked, but God has made it clear that Israel is there to stay.  They will have a rough 3 and half years in the last half of the Tribulation, but then again so will everyone still on Earth.

The book of Daniel in the Old Testament has some of the most helpful end time prophecies in the Bible.  Many of them will be end time posts.  He mentions the abomination that causes desolation in Daniel 12:11.  That is one of the scriptures of the antichrist stopping the sacrifices and defiles the temple during the end times.

The Fig Tree is mentioned many times in the Old and New Testament.  In many passages it is a symbol of Israel.

Matthew 24 is one of the chapters in the New Testament when Jesus talks about his second coming and the end of the age.  Jesus goes through many of these signs, of which will be future posts, which describe the End Times and His return.  Please note End Times does not in any way refer to the end of the world.  The End Times and His soon return refer to the days leading up to the Tribulation, the 7 year tribulation, and after the Tribulation the time leading up to his 1,000 year reign of Earth.

Jesus in Matthew 24:32-34 states:  32“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

My favorite teachers all feel this verse states that the generation that saw Israel become a nation in 1948 will not pass.  I have looked over other arguments for and against and have no reason to believe it doesn’t.  Those who state they don’t believe this verse says that, think it’s too vague.  Maybe.  But they do recognize that Israel is considered the Fig Tree throughout the Bible.  Why is the placement of this verse stating this generation shall certainly not pass, so close to the Fig Tree verse?

There is much to learn on this subject and the goal of my blog is to mainly get your feet wet so you will want to study more on it.  For more details visit the websites to the right of this blog.

There is one thing I can tell you.  I’m seeing most of the end time prophecies coming together and Israel is now in the land.  If you ask my opinion, this generation will not pass.

UPDATE:  Since the search engine is hitting this page a lot lately I wanted to give it a quick update.  First I have started a new blog to serve as a daily inspirational to remind us that we need to get back to our first love which is Jesus and two, realize the time period we are living in.  When I did this page it was one small story of many I hope to write on end time prophecies.  Just in the last few weeks I have added more end time prophecies that you can view over in the Category section.  Just click on “End Times Prophecy” and all the ones I have to date will be in there.  Many of those I have done to date are Israel being back in the land in the last days.

I want to encourage you to bookmark my sight and visit it occasionally.  You can see if you like it or if it can help you in your search or walk with Jesus.

I do believe that the rapture will occur in my lifetime. I was alive when Israel became a nation. I pray for the Peace of Jerusalem everyday and also pray, even so Lord Jesus, come quickly. I am looking for His return. I will receive the extra crown to cast at His feet. GOD bless you. Judy

I do believe as you do concerning the generation that saw Isreal become a nation, will also see the coming of the Lord. I always thought that there was a scripture that stated that pretty much in the same words that I just said it. But, I see now that it was Matt 24:32-34. and Jesus said it in a away that is a bit open to interpretation. However, I still believe it to be true. I just found your site and I look so forward to exploring your posts and articles. I have been a christian for many years, however I have not studied biblical prophecy, and the books like daniel, Rev, etc. That speak of the end of this age. I hope to learn much from your site. I see it clearly, that the time is upon us now, and everyone will see Jesus coming in the clouds soon. I am still a bit confused as to the difference between the rapture and the second coming. This is how I have thought it will happen. The church will be raptured, the 7 years of tribulation will begin on earth. Meanwhile the church and bride of Christ will be celebrating and feasting for 7 years while the tribulation is going on on earth. Then at the end of the 7 years and when Jesus says it’s time, He will come through the clouds riding a white horse with His church/bride with Him and the whole world will see Him and every knee will bow. Am I correct in my interpretation/or even close? Maybe I should have emailed you all this comment and question. But, in the meantime, I hope to learn from your site and posts. Thank you.

I completely agree that the tribulation will occur in my lifetime. To know that we will witness the coming of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is truly and overwhelming feeling. That in our time we will be so blessed to see this sick world of ours healed. It saddens me everyday when I hear stories of the heinous crimes and things that man is doing to each other. Oh how I long for the return of Christ. Before I became a believer it was Revalations that initially drew me into reading the bible. My mom has loved Jesus as long as I can remember and she always talked about stories and instances in her life where he helped her through her hardest moments. Being young and naïve I paid no heed to much of what she said. In the last few years since my research into revalations I have become a born again Christian, cleansed in the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And I thank my mother for the seeds that she planted so that I may help plant those same seeds in others. I believe that the end times are much closer that many people believe. Through things I have looked up (don’t quote me, do your own research before you take this for truth) Things I have found to look for before the start of the tribulation include many things. Many people are looking for the same signs. The identity of the antichrist is probably the main one. I believe the identity of this man may remain hidden for a short time yet but one man that has recently caught my attention is a man by the name of Yair Lapid. He is very charismatic, and risen from an Isreal News star to Isreal’s Finance Minister in under a year. I’m not saying this man is the antichrist but he fits the almost “too good to be true” persona. Another sign that caught my attention was isreal’s standing as a Nation in the world economy. Very recently isreal discovered a very large natural gas deposit off of its shores. Letting the country stop depending on other countries for fuel sources and even prosper greatly from this find. This is an interesting sign because it is for told in Psalm 83 that a great number of countries will plot together a plan to destroy isreal and retrieve her riches. The countries it speaks of are from what I believe to include most of her surrounding enemies and Russia. But before this discovery of natural gas, isreal has not had riches besides that of her holy sites that countries would wish to plunder. It is also told that great multitudes of armies will advance on isreal from the north and the south, (Russia and Egypt to be the key armies) and that god will intervene on isreal’s behalf and destroy the attaking forces. This battle is to be know as the Battle Of Gog and Magog. And I believe will be known as WWIII in our lifetime. And tensions have never been higher in the middle east than they are right now so I am convinced that this battle is to happen very soon… I was looking things up over the past few days and I felt I had to write out my thoughts. I hope someone reads this and feels compelled to do their research on current events happening around the world. And to plant as many seeds as possible before these things come to pass. God speed to all and may our prayers for the non-believers reach gods ears and that we may succeed in the greatest soul harvest in the history of time. Amen

So glad I found your site, so many people just don’t want to even think about the end times. You said it all and I don’t understand why people don’t welcome it, I do, I am so tired of this world and the things that go on. I need rest and peace. Thank you.

Thanks for this quick look into the fig tree verse. since the government has shutdown and martial law is right around the corner… not to mention the shooting outside the capital… I believe Israel is about to have her time. Even though all these horible will happen to people around the world, i can’t help but get excited for him to come. Im ready for capture, tourture, FEMA camps cuz i know the peace he has given me makes me understand that this is just the beginning. Even if I am not taken by the rapture, I will speed the love that that jesus talked about and died for… I will die for this love too, Its more press then any mortal fiscal thing in this universe. Can’t wait to see you guys on the other side.
