There are many end time prophecies that are in the works and coming together in our lifetime. Either they have happened in the last 60 or so years, or they are forming undeniably right before our very eyes.
This post isn’t to explain what those are. Those will be done one at a time in other posts. My goal is to show you the astronomical odds that all these things are happening at once. When you realize the odds, it will take faith to not believe it’s the end times were living in.
So let’s get started with odds using them in other human interest things. First let’s address the guys.
A book comes along and claims it’s the complete truth of the world. Within the book it claims that the reason you know you can trust this is because it will predict all the champions in all the major sports in America during one particular year. Actually, I have to tell you the example of just the America teams, doesn’t even begin to really reveal the true odds, but you’ll get the point.
Now these predictions were made back before some of these teams were even in existence. These predictions are made by writers from different time periods that didn’t personally know each other. That’s another set of odds all entirely that I won’t go into which may be even more impressive.
So we don’t know the year these predictions are going to happen. But many other predictions by these same writers in the book have already come to pass, so they have our attention.
We know that the predictions can’t come to pass just yet, because there is still one team that wins the Super Bowl that doesn’t exist in that city yet. Then all the sudden, that City has an NFL team. To go along with this prediction, the predictor states that this generation that sees this NFL team come into existence, will see the great predicting year we have all been waiting for.
So the sports enthusiasts are starting to keep a close eye on things. They begin to notice that good teams are starting to form in the cities are supposed to win in the same year together. They start to get excited, but then a couple of the teams start going downhill and begin to rebuild.
-I want to add and insert something here. This same example is why Christians have gotten excited in the past when they’ve seen quite a few of the prophecies happening all at once. Yeah, maybe they all weren’t happening, but Christians are supposed to be anxiously awaiting our King and want him to be coming now. Are they goofy for doing so? Not at all! There is a crown for those who are looking for the return of the Lord and even those who died 100 years ago looking for him will still receive it. Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4:8 – Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Now back to the example. Ladies hang in there. I’ll do my best to capture your interest in the other example.
What are the odds today for a team to win the Super Bowl in the NFL. Well there are 32 teams in the National Football League. So the odds are 32-1.
What are the odds of a team winning in the World Series in the MLB. There are 30 teams in the Major League Baseball. So the odds are 30-1
In Hockey and the NHL there are 30 teams.
In Basketball and the NBA there are 30 teams.
In College Division 1 Basketball there are 347 teams.
In College Division 1 Football there are 120 teams.
How do we figure out the true odds of picking the winners of just these 6 sports. Well one ,you have to realize that they all exist and you are allowed to pick from them. Almost all of the bible prophecy end time authors chosen by God were asked to write about things they didn’t understand at all, but were shown.
So the equation looks like this 32 x 30 x 30 x 30 x 347 x120 = the true odds of you picking all six. The answer is 35,976,960,000. Almost 36 billion to one. Now when government is throwing around 1 trillion like it’s going out of style, this might not seem like a lot. Trust me, 36 billion is a lot. 36 Billion seconds adds up to over 1,100 years.
You’ve got to realize that this is only 6 major sports and their champions. I have been told there are over 50 end time prophecies and I have easily jotted down around 15 major ones in one evening so I know there are many more when I get into it further. Actually since I’ve done this post I’m closer to 25 and still counting.
Now for the Ladies and since this post is longer than most I will keep it brief.
Jane is said that in the future she is going to get married. The odds are pretty good on that and probably not even 2-1. But it states she will only marry once. In this day and age the odds push that number up.
Now for the higher odd predictions. She is going to marry a guy named Roger. A study would have to be done on how many men are named Roger in this time period, but it isn’t as popular as marrying somebody named John, Robert, or Bill. So let’s say the odds are 100-1.
Jane will have 4 children. The odds of her having four children once again would have to be figured on how many Americans, only married once in the current time period have 4 children. I have no idea, that’s why I did the sports thing, it was easy for me. But let’s say 20-1 in today’s society.
Now we go further. Out of those kids 3 are girls and 1 is a boy. The odds of you predicting that in any order, is 5-1. To pick them in exact order is 2 x 2 x 2 x 2= 16-1.
Now is the odds that Jane married a Roger as her first and only husband, had four children and the first one a girl, the second a boy, and the last two girls a 128,000 to one? I don’t know if that’s exact but it sounds about right if not higher. We only made a few predictions to get this high. Where are the odds if you predict which town it will happen in? If you predict 2 of them will be school teachers, one an accountant and the other works for the City? Now the number is much higher than the 36 billion we came up with before on the sports example. Yet all the end time prophecies that are either happening, or are forming to happen, are higher than that in probability.
Have you ever had someone tell you that it takes great faith to believe the way you do? I’m here to tell you that when you seek God and study these types of things, it takes a great negligence or turning away not to believe the way it is written.
