Our Circumstances Can Always Be Used To Glorify God

14 Apr

I am going to do a number of posts that were inspired by John Chapter 9.  It’s the chapter that Jesus healed the blind man.  All the way through the chapter are things that stood out.

The first one is where the disciples asked Jesus who sinned to cause the man in this story to be blind.

John 9:1-3 –1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

You see God didn’t punish anybody ahead of time concerning this man’s condition.  He has a plan for all of us.

Jeremiah 29:11 –11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Many choose not to have anything to do with his plan.

The miracle of Jesus to this man’s blindness has been recorded in the bible and read by billions.  Think about that.  Wow.  This man had a condition that ultimately glorified God.

Joni Eareckson Tada was paralyzed after a water diving accident when she was 17 and broke her neck.  After building her relationship even stronger with the Lord, she has become a blessing with her ministry.  She could have quit, she could have become bitter, but she got closer to the Lord.

He has plans for us.  We have great examples like Joni, who have revealed what one can do by seeking a passionate relationship with the Lord.  If you haven’t read her story, please Google her name.  I think you will be blessed by her story.

No matter what our circumstance, even if you have put yourself in a bind, can be corrected with the help of God.  At that point you can stay in line with the Lord and glorify Him on taking care of you.

Always trust in Him, no matter what.  Seek Him through all things.  Your life can be used no matter who you are, but we do need to make Him the center.  He is the Vine and we are the branches.
