We Would Do Well To Listen To The Prophets

09 Feb

2 Peter 1:19-21 –19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

God and God only could give man a sure 100% accurate message about the future.

I have been very blessed to have lived in this time period.  Prophecy has been happening in front of our very eyes and not just by chance.

The Jews continue to exist even though the whole world continues to persecute and destroy them.  During this period of time they end up back in the land that God promised them.  The land in which they need to be in the last days.  The Word of God said Jerusalem would be a troublesome stone in the last days.  Jerusalem, not just Israel.  This is just a snippet of the prophecies.

To study prophecy and to see it all happening, one would have to be negligent to not believe it.

As I said earlier, I feel very blessed because seeing the prophecies happening has strengthened my faith 10 fold at least.  It’s helped me to know the Bible is 100% accurate and we can rest assure of how we are supposed to think and live.

Many people are scared to even learn about what’s happening or the thought of Jesus coming back.  Why?  It’s not because they are seeking the Lord too much.  Maybe it’s because their spirit recognizes that they haven’t been seeking Him at all.

A crown is given to those who loves Jesus’ wonderful appearing.

2 Timothy 4:8 –8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

A crown!  Do you think if he is offering a crown to those who love His appearing that it is important?  Would God have more to say in prophecy about Christ’s second coming than His first if it wasn’t important?

We would do well to listen and pay attention to what the prophets had to say and wrote about.

Psalm 22

02 Feb

I just wanted for you all to read Psalm 22 and once again reflect on David’s prophecy concerning the betrayal and crucifixion of Jesus.  It really became obvious in hindsight.  I’m sure in the past it read like David was making a poem about hard times and adversity, finishing with the Lord’s final rule.  Once Jesus lived the accounts, it became obvious that it was a fulfilled prophecy.  We serve an awesome God.

Psalm 22:1-31 –

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?
2 O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent.

3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel.
4 In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.
5 They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads:
8 “He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him.  Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.”

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother’s breast.
10 From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
11 Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.

12 Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Roaring lions tearing their prey open their mouths wide against me.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint.  My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted away within me.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.

19 But you, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me.
20 Deliver my life from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

22 I will declare your name to my brothers; in the congregation I will praise you.
23 You who fear the LORD, praise him!  All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever!
27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations  will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations.

29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn— for he has done it.

Quick Thought Paraphrase Of The End Times

12 Jan

Of course there is a lot to the End Times, but if people just understood some of the basics they would see what’s coming on.

The devil wants to be like the Most High. Christ is coming back to rule and reign with His Kingdom on this earth for 1,000 years.

Since the devil wants to be like the Most High, he wants to rule on his own throne on this earth.

That’s where we’re heading. The world is coming together paving the way for a one world ruler. He will control commerce, communication and will want to be worshipped or you’ll die. The devil wants it to happen and God is going to allow it to happen.

Since people have been rejecting God from the beginning for so long, He takes His own out and lets the others finally have their wish.

They are going to find out that the devil doesn’t make the kind of fair ruler they envisioned while at the same time the world gets the wrath of God and from the Lamb. Those who continue not to repent to God and accept the Mark and their allegiance to the devil will have proven just how against God they really are.

Then Jesus comes back cleans house and begins His rule on this earth.

There is thousand times more besides that, but not a bad short paraphrase of the near future.

Whoops this was for tomorrow and I hit the post instead of save.  Well since there were two today this one is for tomorrow.  God Bless.

Like A Thief In The Night – Part 2

28 Dec

Yesterday I talked about how immanency seems to be a factor in the last days.  The Lord says He will come like a thief in the night.  However, if He didn’t come until Armageddon, that doesn’t suggest like a thief in the night at all.

If He could come at any time, then He could definitely come like a thief in the night.

There is a section in Luke chapter twelve that refers to “Watchfulness.”

Luke 12:35-48 – 35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. 38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. 39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40 You also must be ready, because the Son of
Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

41 Peter asked, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everyone?”

42 The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? 43 It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. 44 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 45 But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk. 46 The master of that servant
will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

47 “That servant who knows his master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

This isn’t talking about the believing and unbelieving.  That’s why I underlined what I did above.  This is talking about the servants of the Lord.  About the ones not living the way they should for Him and living a life that is no different than all the unbelievers around them.

Looking for the Lord everyday helps keep us from sinking into the world.  We have to take the warnings deathly seriously.  This is not the only one either.  The New Testament is full of the exact same types of warnings.  The warnings are for us right now.  If we put them off and live worldly, sinfully, evil, and ungodly, and we know we are, what message are we sending to our Lord?

Take a stand in love for Him.   Take a stand against evil, which once again shows your love for Him.

He is going to come soon, because all the signs are happening.  For many, and I mean many, it’s going to be
like a thief in the night.

Like A Thief In The Night – Part 1

27 Dec

I am going to write two days on “Like a thief in the night.”

As a Pre-Tribulation Rapture guy, this is one of the things I’ve always struggled with on Jesus coming at the end of the Tribulation.

Luke 12:40- 40 You also must be ready, because
the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 – 1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

Have you read the book of Revelation?  Anyone and Everyone should know the Lord will be coming back soon by the time they are in about 5 years into the Tribulation.  It’s a supernatural hell on earth.  No business as usual during the Tribulation.  At least half of the population on the earth dies during that period.  People will almost be able to figure it out to the day when the Lord is about to return.  There is a 7 year peace treaty, the 3 and half years after the Abomination that causes Desolation spoken in the book of Daniel in the middle of the 7 years and then the Lord returns.

Thief in the night?

However, it makes perfect sense if He does come for the Church right before the Tribulation. Will He catch people off guard?  Look around you….it’s getting worse every day on two fronts.

First as the older generation are dying off, we are losing people who sought Christ faster than those looking for Him today.  Second the Church itself as a whole isn’t looking for Jesus to come back.

A thief in the night?  Yes it will be like a thief in the night for those (many) who have not been looking for Him.

Tomorrow we will stay on the subject and give a scary example of what Jesus was telling His disciples.

Two Current Prophecies Strengthening This Year – Part 4

15 Dec

The first couple of days we talked about the Arab Spring and how it pertains to the Gog and Magog War.
Yesterday we started talking on another movement which is Occupy Wall Street.  Both of these movements are a combination of using the masses and the news media to further the cause of a New World Order.

When you try to divert a river, you go downstream and dig huge diversions and slowly get the river to flow in that direction.  The river is too powerful to just stop and make it go where you want.  You need its
own power to help.  That’s what we see now.  Enough people over time have changed their thinking to embrace socialism.  The rich have gotten richer and the poorer have gotten poorer.  Now the middle class is slowly losing ground due to the bad economy, brought on by the housing bubble and the banks tightening down.  As a result the extended unemployment has gotten many in the middle class dependent on the
government.

We left with the question yesterday of where does the spirit of a one world order come from?

Well we know Jesus is going to rule and reign on His throne and rule the nations after He comes back.

Revelation 20:4- 4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Daniel 2:44-45 – 44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.  ……..

However there is another that has wanted to take the place of God.  He wants to establish his throne and be like the most high.

Isaiah 14:12-15 –12 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my
throne above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the
sacred mountain.
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself
like the Most High.”
15 But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.

Satan has wanted to be like the Most High.  He wants to be worshipped.  He wants to sit on the throne and make the world worship him.  That’s why he wants the world to be under one power.  It’s the spirit that is pushing for the One World Government or the New World Order.  It’s another attempt at the Tower of Babel, which is man coming together to reach Heaven without God.

Those who are doing so are following Bible Prophecy exactly.  Only God could have prophecy written about 2000-3500 years ago and have the very people who don’t even believe in Him follow it.

The devil and the antichrist are trying to get the world together in socialism so they may rule it.  They want to control the commerce.  Satan will make it to when he defiles the temple of God and calls himself God, people will either worship him or they won’t buy or sell.  They also will be sentenced to death.

Occupy Wall Street is the first open attempt to get the masses in this country chanting for socialism.  Wall Street stands for capitalism.

It’s amazing to see all the prophecies strengthening as we grow nearer.  The one thing you need to do is put all your faith in Jesus and not into this world.  You will only have peace with what’s going on when you do that.

Two Current Prophecies Strengthening This Year – Part 3

14 Dec

The last couple of days I have be talking on how the Arab Spring is strengthening the prophecy of the Gog and Magog War in Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39.

Today I will be talking on how a world dictatorship and one world order functions much better under socialism than democracy.

The news media realized just how influential and ripe the listening public is right now by seeing the reaction to the Arab Spring.

Enter “Occupy Wall Street.”

Who comes up with these names?

It’s another term for Hate Capitalism, but that doesn’t sound as catchy or as good when trying to influence the masses.

Have you wondered why the news media would take the tea party and try to smear them as being unruly hate mongers?  They are the picture of true protesters.  Hold their signs nicely and clean up the place after they leave.  The problem is they are trying to get their old democracy back and the government and news media have been working very hard to get us where we are at.

Where is that?  They have been working hard to bring us down as softly as they can into socialism.  They don’t want anarchy in the world’s strongest nation, just for it to equal out with the others.  Anarchy is the exact opposite of what they want.  They want to bring the whole world together under one rule.

Getting us to national healthcare is not about healthcare as much as it is being the most important issue when getting a nation to be socialized.

The reason for world Socialism is so we don’t blow each other up, overpopulate, treat each other poorly, etc.  The powers at the top in government feel that they should lead this measure for the world’s own good.

Where does this spirit of a one world order come from?

Tomorrow we will continue on with this.

Two Current Prophecies Strengthening This Year – Part 2

13 Dec

Yesterday we started on the significance of the Arab Spring and how it fits with Bible Prophecy.

In the last days we have the Gog and Magog war which names many members of nations that will attempt to annihilate Israel.  This war is in chapters of Ezekiel 38 and 39.

I didn’t always believe the War was in conjunction within the tribulation period or Armageddon, but upon further study I don’t see how it cannot be.  The most important reason, but certainly not the only reason is the passages at the end of Ezekiel 39.

Ezekiel 39:21-29 –  21 “I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay on them. 22 From that day forward the people of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God. 23 And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. 24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my
face from them.

25 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now restore the fortunes of Jacob and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid. 27 When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the
countries of their enemies, I will be proved holy through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. 29 I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.”

The end of the Gog and Magog verses matches that of when Jesus comes back in last few chapters of Zechariah.  Those verses relate to Revelation 19.  When do the Jews realize recognize their Lord and Messiah?  At the end when Jesus comes back.

Back to the significance of the Arab Spring.  All the nations mentioned in the beginning of Ezekiel 38 are nations mentioned that will join Russia (Magog) in this invasion.

Ezekiel 38:1-6 –  1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him 3 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.

One thing that is significant about the players is they all seem to be Muslim countries.  Put is always stated to be Libya and its surrounding close neighbors including Tunisia.  Certainly fits with the times in the fact that Russia is always looking to lead the world; and Israel’s Muslim neighbors have a hatred that the Jews are in Israel or the fact that they are even alive.  The two will work together to achieve and further their goals.  Does it work out for them?  Not according to the end of Ezekiel 38 or the chapter of 39.

The Arab Spring just keeps pushing this future prophecy closer and closer.

Tomorrow we will talk about the other prophecy strengthening before our very eyes.

Two Current Prophecies Strengthening This Year – Part 1

12 Dec

I am going to go over two prophecies that have been forming in front of our eyes this year.  Many end times prophecies are strengthening as we move towards the second coming, but two of them this year have been moving rather quickly and are no small feats.

The first one we’ll hit on is the Arab Spring.  We’ve seen Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya all come out from dictatorships.  The West and America championed these advancements.

In no way do I condone the atrocities’ that those dictators put on their people, but let’s take note on where the countries leadership is heading today.  The Muslim Brotherhood has a heavy influence in these countries.  Before the dictators were exactly that, dictators.  Their agenda was their own, which means don’t
rock the boat, hang low and you’ll be off their radar.   That means if Christian’s we’re hanging low and not irritating the King, no problem.  Same went for other groups.

That’s gone now.  Islam in the name of Allah and the Koran are supposed to conquer.  If those who are not Muslim do not conform, they are persuaded to change their faith up to the point of death.  Before, the dictators did not like that dissention.  They wanted order in their own way.  So to say the Arab Spring has
not been good for non-Muslims, is to make an understatement.

Does the news media talk about the Christian persecution?  Not very often at all.

Why?  One answer is; a blinded news media towards God is going to error on the side of those trying to kill His bride and His chosen people.

Tomorrow we’ll continue on the Arab Spring plays into Bible Prophecy.

One Foot On A Banana Peel And Another In The Grave

05 Dec

Are you excited for the return of Jesus for the Church?

If you came home to meet your family after being away for a long period of time and they didn’t want to see you, how would you feel?

Matthew 22:1-14 – 1 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

4 “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

5 “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Now this parable was speaking of the Jews of the day.  However, when I read it, it still applies for the so called Lord’s people that are too busy for Him.

Be honest.  If you’re not wanting Jesus to appear because things are too good for you on this earth,
would you call that loving the world?

I don’t know how you can call it anything but that.

There is a crown for those that love His appearing.  That means that people that died 1900 years ago that loved His appearing will get that crown.  Those who don’t will not.

2 Timothy 4:8 – 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his
appearing.

If you’re not excited about seeing Jesus, how well is your relationship with Him going?

Put yourself in the shoes of Jesus when it comes to bringing home His own during the rapture.  How do
you feel about those who didn’t really like the idea of you coming back?
